How Do You Choose Your 1-to-1 Clients? There are so many ways to be scrappy when getting to your first million dollar year, but beyond that, your process needs to be dialed. Once your apparel brand hits that amazing $1 Million per year mark, you are probably ready to figure out how to get to $5 Million and beyond. Our expertise is in this sweet spot, turning a great product line into a flourishing company, and this is why we choose brands in this category. Corporate-level processes that we've mastered by working with 7-figure to 11-figure brands throughout our careers are what you need to get to the next level, and we get so much joy helping these brands see results.

What if I haven't hit that first $1 Million year yet?Our pricing might not be quite right for you if you're still working on hitting that first million dollar year. The Unmarked Street team brings 55+ years of experience to the brands that we work with, and while we provide so much value for our monthly retainer fee, it can be outside of some peoples' budgets. But don't get discouraged! We do like to work with a few smaller brands each year if they are a great match for our brand's values. Don't hesitate to reach out to discuss with Rachel if you might be one of them.

Shouldn't I Hire a Full-Time Employee Instead of Your Company? We do encourage our Clients to hire internally whenever they can, but sometimes it's not so easy. Requesting to add new headcount to your team when budgets are tight can prove to be nearly impossible, but contractor dollars tend to be a great way to bridge that gap. And in some cases, you might find that you'll actually save a little money by bringing Unmarked Street on board: As of March 2023, an annual salary to hire an associate-level developer, technical designer or apparel production assistant across the USA averages at $70,000 per year + benefits.* Senior-level roles average at $108,000 per year + benefits.* Hiring 3 Senior-level employees part-time without benefits (like us) would typically cost an average of $160,000 per year, just to do Development processes. Unmarked Street offers so much more at a price that immediately saves you money and the work of opening up headcount on your team. *Stats taken from salary.com, glassdoor.com and through real-life professional industry interviews.

Can I Hire Just One Member of the Unmarked Street Team?If you are interested in working closely with one of our team members in particular, we are happy to take that into account when building out your brand's specific plan. However, we are stronger together! We encourage you to be open to working with the entire team for the best results for your company. We do not assign accounts to a single person for this reason.
-
How Do You Do Everything on a Remote Basis? The Unmarked Street team has spent years mastering the art of remote fittings and remote work. We also have been surprised to find that remote fittings streamline and simplify the fitting process! With less potential to be picky about every tiny detail, we get so much more accomplished by looking at the big picture in this setting. This might sound counterintuitive, but we've seen a reduction in number of protos and an improvement in overall fit by going fully remote with our clients.

Can You Quote Me an Hourly Rate for My Company? We started our company working hourly, and found that it was much more efficient and cost effective for YOU to go to monthly program pricing. There are two major improvements we've seen since moving to monthly pricing: Our hours become flexible, so that we can complete your work without watching the clock. When we used to bill in 30-minute or hourly increments, our clients would end up being over-billed on days when all we needed was a quick 15-minute email review! Instead of "putting our pencils down" once we've maxed out our hours for the week, we can continue working and getting your projects done faster. With three senior-level apparel pros at your fingertips, the expertise you get in our monthly packages is so much more valuable than hiring a single freelancer at an hourly rate.
-
Are there other ways to work with Unmarked Street? If you're looking for smaller projects without weekly or monthly support, we do have some a-la-carte services that we offer! Building professional tech packs, running a fitting or two, helping to build out your grade rules or body size charts are just a few of the tasks we can take off your plate on an individual basis. If you're looking for something a little less structured, we're open to figuring out what you need in a 30-minute Connect Call with Rachel. From there, we can decide if Unmarked Street is the right match for your project.

How Do We Get Started Together?First, you'll want to fill out our Client Application Form, so we can get an idea of what program might be right for you and understand what you're looking for in the way of a contractor. Next, we'll set up a 30-minute Connect Call with Rachel to discuss your brand's needs in the way of Apparel Development. We call this our "Gap Analysis" meeting, which will help us determine the best path forward to get you exactly what you need. From there, Rachel will set up an individualized plan and contract for your projects. We'll jump on one more call with each other to review the ways in which we're proposing to close that gap for you. Once we know what you’re looking for and we’ve signed a freelancing agreement with each other, we will set up a 60-minute meeting for you to meet with your account manager to talk through your goals, ideas and needs. Then we get started!
-
Will You Sign our Company's Freelancing Contract? We have worked with a knowledgeable legal team to provide a "plainly worded" freelancing contract that is specific to our line of work and our preferred terms. Although we may be open to discussing your needs for your own contract, we would prefer to send our own document for you to review and sign.
